Just Rum History

Just A Distillery Inc. was founded on August 21 2018 with the mission of making the best rum possible using the simplest of equipment. We showcase how excellent rum could have been made in the early days of the “New World”. Our historic spirit stands on the shoulders of giants.

Just Rum was born from an inherited pot still and an experiment to recreate a rum described from the memoirs of Jean Baptiste Labat (1693-1705). Initially, there was no desire to open a distillery let alone to sell rum.

Through a series of what can only be described as "happy accidents,"a unique spirit was born. a distillery was started and Just Rum history was made.
